The Afghanistan Cricket Board has named a 19-member squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Bangladesh, with uncapped top-order batter Sediqullah Atal included in the lineup. Spinner Noor Ahmad makes his return to the ODI squad, strengthening Afghanistan's bowling attack. However, the squad will be without top-order batter Ibrahim Zadran, who is recovering from ankle surgery, and star spinner Mujeeb ur Rahman, who is still sidelined with a right phalanx sprain.
Chief Selector Ahmad Shah Sulimankhil expressed optimism about the changes: “While Ibrahim and Mujeeb remain unavailable due to injuries, Noor Ahmad returns to the squad. We’re also excited about including Sediqullah Atal, who has been consistently performing well.”
